Juan Encarnacion of the St. Louis Cardinals
You can call it bad luck, but in the field of baseball, nothing is impossible. Juan Encarnacion was merely warming up right at the deck circle when his teammate’s foul ball was thrown, hitting him straight in the head. He suffered multiple fractures to his left eye socket, along with numerous eye damages, forcing Juan to end his game. He later announced that he no longer wished to return to the major league.
