The cocoon wedding dress is not the figment of some crazy, mad scientist’s imagination. In fact, this was created world renowned designer Yves Saint Laurent in the 1960s. According to the designer, this gown was inspired by the Russian stacking dolls called Matryoshka. This gown was hand-made, crocheted to be exact, and adorned with lace and ribbon. Later on, a knitted version was created.  It’s certainly one of the craziest wedding dresses in history.
