Yeti Crab
A crab? You have definitely seen one before, but a Yeti crab? This is a different one. Its scientific name is Kiwa hirsuta, which was discovered back in 2005. The reason it was named Yeti crab was because of its fur like coverings in the claws and legs, which resemble that of a Yeti. This sea creature is a carnivore, although it can also live or strive on bacteria. Young and pregnant Yeti crabs prefer colder waters, while males like warmer waters more.
