7 Craziest Sea Creatures You Probably Didn’t Know Exist

Caprellidae

Also known as skeleton shrimp, this kind of sea creature belongs to the amphipods species. Others call them ghost shrimps. Not the type of shrimp that is perfect for cocktails or for your seafood cravings because you wouldn’t have anything to eat on its slender body. Since it’s so tiny, you wouldn’t see it when it camouflages itself among the seaweeds, bryozoans, and hydroids in the ocean.  In some instances, female caprellidae may kill the male by injecting venom using its claw after mating.
